League Suspends Wilkerson and Gómez for Fisticuffs Saturday, June 26th , 2049 Rusty Wilkerson of Indiana and Juan Gómez of Texas were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Wilkerson will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Gómez was given 8 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This year Wilkerson is hitting .237 with 8 home runs. His stats sheet for the year shows Gómez has managed to hold opponents to a .363 average in 20 relief appearances, while putting up 3-5 record with 20 strikeouts and 10 walks in 30 innings. He has a 6.30 ERA with no saves. |
