Hitting Streak Still Alive for Major Saturday, July 31st , 2049 Texas lost to the Indiana Vipers 7-6 at The Snake Pit today, but Ronnie Major kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 2 hits. The Spurs center fielder has now delivered hits in 25 straight games. "Ronnie has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Texas manager Matt Yordy told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Ronnie Major singled in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and flied out in the 8th. On the year Major has hit .283 with 13 home runs, 57 RBIs and scored 63 runs. |
