Major's Hit Streak Soars to 30 Games Friday, August 6th , 2049 Ronnie Major ran his hitting streak to 30 straight games today at Arlington Park, when he collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Texas Spurs dropped the game, 8-2, to the Illinois Warhawks. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Major said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Ronnie Major singled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This year Major is batting .293 with 128 hits and 14 home runs. He has scored 66 times and has batted in 63 runs. |
