Hinkle Stretches Hit String to 20 Wednesday, May 3rd , 2051 The Ontario Blue Pirates stopped the Georgia Titans today 2-0 and Ty Hinkle collected a base hit yet again. The Ontario third baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Hinkle told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Ty Hinkle flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. So far this year Hinkle has hit .351 with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
