Twin Towers End Hinkle's Streak Sunday, May 7th , 2051 Lady Luck was not on the side of Ty Hinkle or his teammates today at Twin Stadium. Everything went the way of the New York Twin Towers, who not only came away with the 2-1 victory over Ontario, but also held Hinkle hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to his 23-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Hinkle said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." So far this season Hinkle is hitting .348 with 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 39 hits in 112 at-bats and a .365 OBP. |
