Malvern on Fire, 5-for-5 Against Idaho Tuesday, July 25th , 2051 It seemed that Texas shortstop Eric Malvern could do no wrong as the Spurs KO'd the Steelheads, 8-2 today. Malvern rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats and seemed to know which pitches Steelheads hurlers were throwing. "I think the Spurs were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Idaho fan after the game. "I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," said the jubilant Malvern in the postgame press interview. Eric Malvern singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off José Campos in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
