Barrage of Hits Gets Combs FL Award Monday, August 14th , 2051 So far in his young career, Ben Combs has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Frontier League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Texas Spurs left fielder hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 11 hits in 22 at-bats, 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. In 106 games this season Combs is batting .306 with 133 hits and 21 home runs. He has scored 74 runs and driven in 79. |
