Oregon Hexed: No-Hit by Locke Tuesday, July 30th , 2052 Excitement reigned at Multnomah Stadium today as Maryland Bridegrooms hurler Jeff Locke tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the Oregon Explorers, 3-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Locke said. "Today I just went right at the Explorers as hard as I could, as long as I could." Locke chalked up 6 strikeouts and allowed no walks in his superb performance. "I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said Maryland manager . This season Locke has a 6-6 record with a 2.87 ERA in 21 starts.
