Silva's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Wednesday, August 21st , 2052 The hot bat of Bulldogs center fielder Tony Silva continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 20 games after he went 1-for-4 in today's 4-3 loss to the Bridegrooms at Bulldog Stadium. "I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Tony Silva struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and flied out in the 7th. Currently Silva is hitting .299 and has collected 14 home runs, 51 RBIs and scored 59 times, while playing in 96 games. |
