Spurs Pitching Ravaged by Thompson Saturday, September 21st , 2052 No matter what the Texas Spurs threw at him today, Ken Thompson hit it. He easily handled Spurs pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Bears to a 11-0 triumph at Arlington Park. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Thompson's quip, Spurs skipper Matt Yordy said he "would take him up on that next time." Ken Thompson hit a three-run home run off Gilberto MartÃnez in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
