Georgia Loses Steele for Year Sunday, September 22nd , 2052 The doctors have spoken and Eric Steele of the Georgia Titans didn't like what he heard. The 26-year-old left fielder is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Steele sustained his season-ending injury during the North Carolina Aviators game yesterday at Lowe's Field at Bojangles' Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Georgia medical staff reported Steele had a knee sprain and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8 weeks. Thus far this year Steele is hitting .291 with 37 home runs, 107 RBIs and 83 runs scored. |
