Big Bat Pays Off, Torrez Player of the Week Monday, August 11th , 2053 At the age of 32, Jonathan Torrez might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Louisville first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .680 batting average. For his efforts Torrez collected the West Player of the Week Award. He racked up 17 hits in 25 at-bats, no home runs and 5 RBIs last week in 6 games. Thus far in 2053 Torrez is hitting .408 with 4 home runs, 26 RBIs, 25 runs scored and has compiled a .432 OBP. |
