Elliott Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Saturday, July 31st , 2055 The Eugene Ducks may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 5-4 to the Glendale Cobras, but Bob Elliott continued to hit like a god. The left fielder collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Elliott is playing great and is on fire right now," Ducks manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Elliott was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Bob Elliott flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Currently Elliott is hitting .299 and has collected 3 home runs, 21 RBIs and scored 17 times, while playing in 24 games. |
