Crawfords Pitching Ravaged by Land Tuesday, August 24th , 2055 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Mike Land today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Field of Peaches and paced the Peaches to a 17-10 win over the Pittsburgh Crawfords. After his dynamite batting performance, the Atlanta center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Mike Land singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jayson Lowther in the 4th, singled in the 5th and hit an RBI triple in the 7th.
