Amery Tosses 4-0 Shutout for Fresno Wednesday, May 3rd , 2056 It wasn't easy but the Fresno Grizzlies made it look that way. Starter Jeff Amery shut out the Oklahoma City Whirlwind despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Fresno Grizzlies cruised to victory, 4-0. Amery allowed only 2 hits and rang up 7 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." This year Amery has a 4-0 mark in 5 starts with a 2.21 ERA. He has given up 26 hits in 36.2 innings, struck out 26 and issued 12 walks.
