Players Suspended in Vulcans-Blue Jays Donnybrook Thursday, May 18th , 2056 After an intense confrontation, both the Vulcans Wally Swift and the Blue Jays Wayne Boyall were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Birmingham-Toronto game. Wally Swift will miss 4 games, while Wayne Boyall was suspended for 9 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Wally Swift commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Swift has hit at a .286 clip with 18 RBIs, 6 home runs and 17 runs scored. To date this year in 7 starts, Boyall has crafted a 1-2 mark with a 7.33 ERA. |
