Luna Pounds 3 HR Sunday, June 25th , 2056 Players don't hit three home runs in a game very often and when they do, it is something to celebrate. After today, Álex Luna can celebrate. The Cleveland Attack first baseman powered three into the stands at Eagles Ballpark today against the Wilmington Eagles. "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run," Luna told reporters after the game. "Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today, I was really trying on that last one." In all, he was 3-for-5 as the Attack toppled Wilmington by a score of 9-2, knocking in 7 runs and scoring 3 times. "He is blessed with a natural home run swing," Cleveland manager said. "He gets the ball up in the air." Álex Luna hit a two-run home run off Bill Lam in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bill Lam in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 9th. For the year Luna is batting .347 with 76 hits and 17 home runs. He has scored 46 times and driven in 61. |
