Bad Behavior Costs Reza and Evans Friday, August 25th , 2056 Yesterday at Turtles Field Alex Reza and Mike Evans got into each other's space and then into each other's face. They began to grapple and fell to the ground. That's when it boiled over into a full-fledged bench-clearing tussle between the San Antonio Turtles and Glendale Cobras. Reason finally prevailed as the umpires restored order. After much discussion, only the two major combatants were ejected from the game. Today the league office notified the ballclubs that Reza will have to sit out 3 while Evans would be given a 6-game suspension for their roles in the brawl. On the year Reza is hitting .233 with 66 hits, 7 home runs, 36 RBIs, .298 OBP and has scored 33 runs. Taking a look at his season stats for 2056, Evans has made 6 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-2 won-lost mark with a 3.71 ERA. In pitching 17 innings, he has totaled 10 strikeouts and 8 walks. |
