Avalanche Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Monday, September 4th , 2056 Fans of the Colorado Springs Avalanche who thought the club was playoff-bound may have been a little too optimistic this year. The team was officially eliminated from postseason contention today. Colorado Springs last appeared in the postseason in 2053. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 25 times in their 44 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Avalanche have missed the playoffs 2 times. Colorado Springs has won the Explorer Cup 5 times in their history. |
