Hitting Streak Still Alive for McCarthy Thursday, May 29th , 2059 Alex McCarthy collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Eugene Ducks, beat the Louisville Sluggers 4-2. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," McCarthy quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Alex McCarthy hit an RBI double in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, struck out in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
