Turtles End McCarthy's Streak Friday, May 30th , 2059 The 20-game hitting streak of Alex McCarthy has come to an end. The Eugene Ducks first baseman went 0-for-3 today in his team's 3-1 loss to the San Antonio Turtles at Turtles Field. "It's not just Alex who came up short today," Ducks manager said in his postgame press conference. "This was a team loss." This year McCarthy is hitting .293 with 46 hits, 3 home runs, 24 RBIs and has scored 27 runs. |
