Schmitt Says Goodbye to Baseball Thursday, August 7th , 2059 Andy Schmitt said he would rather walk away from the game than be forced out of it. At 39 years of age, the Annapolis Destroyers reliever today announced that this season will be his last. "I'm happy to get out with my health still intact and at a young enough age where I can look forward to the rest of my life," Schmitt said. Schmitt's career stats show a 2-13 record, 113 appearances, 2 saves and a 4.31 ERA. He has 183 strikeouts in 232 innings pitched. |
