Walker Bangs Out 5 Base Hits Wednesday, August 13th , 2059 It was a good day for the Peaches at Field of Peaches as they clipped the Annapolis Destroyers, 8-7. It was tremendous day for Jeremy Walker, who was on a hitting barrage at the plate, finishing 5-for-5. "I don't know what to call that," the Atlanta center fielder told reporters after his big performance. "I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' I just try to keep it simple. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then I hit it. Today I picked up the spin pretty well." Jeremy Walker hit an RBI double in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Brad McQuisham in the 10th. So far in 2059 Walker is batting .357 with 4 home runs, 43 RBIs and 54 runs scored. He has 115 hits in 322 at-bats and a .409 OBP. View Boxscore |
