Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Tuesday, September 9th , 2059 Claude James of the Glendale Cobras and Carlos Benitez of the Idaho Falls Rapids will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 3 and 7 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Cobras-Rapids game at Cobras Park. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN James and Benitez will begin serving them soon. For the year James is hitting .240 with 22 home runs. His stats include 86 RBI and 63 runs scored. So far this year Benitez has 2 wins and 5 losses and a 5.20 ERA. |
