Turtles Heading to Explorer Cup Friday, October 3rd , 2059 The San Antonio Turtles have booked their place in the Explorer Cup. By a score of 7-4, the club ousted the Oklahoma City Whirlwind in the League Championship Series tonight at Turtles Field. San Antonio won the series by a 4-2 margin. The series MVP was Turtles first baseman Jesús Piña. For his part, the MVP said he is not putting too much stock in the individual honor and instead simply "looking forward to the next round." The San Antonio Turtles will play against the Fresno Grizzlies in the next round. Fresno won their series against the Brooklyn Dodgers 4 games to 1.
