Joel Sherman Nabs Prestigious Most Valuable Pitcher

Joel Sherman of the Olympia Battle Cats was in command and couldn't do much wrong when he was on the mound this season. His outstanding 16-5 won-lost mark and 3.34 ERA were big factors in his winning the 2059 West Most Valuable Pitcher.

In 169.2 innings of work and 32 starts, Sherman struck out 119 while giving up 161 hits and 59 walks. He held opposing batters to a .253 average.
