ELW Announces Outstanding Player Award Thursday, October 23rd , 2059 Adam Medeiros of the Rochester Spartans proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the West Most Valuable Hitter. Medeiros hit for a .340 average while collecting 110 hits, 30 doubles, 3 triples, 23 home runs, 71 RBIs and scoring 71 times. He received 12 first place votes out of a possible 20. John Lummis of the Idaho Falls Rapids finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Kurt Woodard of the Glendale Cobras finished third.
