Hoffa Is King of Swing: Goes Deep 3 Times Friday, June 2nd , 2062 It was a good day for the Olympia Battle Cats and an exceptional one for Chris Hoffa. The 22-year-old left fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Battle Cats beat the Colorado Springs Avalanche 17-6 at Avalanche Park. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Hoffa said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 5 times, drove in 7 runs and smacked 4 hits in 5 at-bats. Chris Hoffa hit a solo-shot off Alex Guevara in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Mike Helenek in the 4th, walked in the 7th, struck out in the 8th and hit a three-run home run off Ben Holliday in the 9th.
