Super Swinger -- Pérez Slams 5 Hits Saturday, July 29th , 2062 It was a sensational day at the plate for Luis Antonio Pérez as he led the charge to a 13-9 win over the Ducks. The Wilmington first baseman was pure misery for the Eugene pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Pérez put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said , manager for the Ducks, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Luis Antonio Pérez hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Luis Davila in the 8th.
