Brown Strokes 5 Hits Friday, July 7th , 2045 No matter what the Las Vegas Dons threw at him today, Steve Brown hit it. He easily handled Dons pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Avalanche to a 8-5 triumph at Avalanche Park. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Brown's quip, Dons skipper said he "would take him up on that next time." Steve Brown singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
