Travis Goes Hitless, Streak Stopped at 22
Sunday, July 28th , 2047
Atlanta defeated Brooklyn 15-2 today at Field of Peaches, but saw the 22-game hitting streak of Peaches center fielder Joe Travis snapped -- the Dodgers held Travis hitless in 4 at-bats.
"I enjoyed the streak," he said in a BNN interview after the game. "It's great in one way, but the day-to-day pressure to keep it going can be tough to handle, too. The main thing is we got the win today. That's all that really counts."
For the season, Travis is hitting at a .330 clip with 6 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 49 runs. He has 93 hits, 27 walks and a .386 on-base percentage.
