Mori Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Friday, August 2nd , 2047 The hitting streak for Colorado Springs shortstop Takeji Mori now stands at 20 games, but the Avalanche dropped today's contest 7-6 to the Eugene Ducks. Mori went 2-for-5 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 2 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Takeji Mori flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. This year Mori has hit at a .324 clip with 145 hits, 11 home runs, 67 RBIs and 86 runs scored. |
