Widdison Dominates Attack in Shutout Wednesday, August 26th , 2048 Gary Widdison of the Beckley Farmers shut out the Cleveland Attack 8-0, stopped them on 4 hits and had 5 strikeouts and 5 walks in a strong outing at Farmers Field today. "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Beckley manager said later. "When Gary stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key." Presently Widdison has a 10-7 mark in 26 starts with a 4.62 ERA. He has given up 154 hits in 150 innings, struck out 86 and issued 107 walks.
