Sportsman Pitching Ravaged by Hall
Tuesday, September 1st , 2048
After a 5-hit effort to lead San Diego's 11-3 victory over the St. Louis Sportsman, center fielder Bob Hall told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the Explorer League-level is really something special."

The 22-year-old player earned his accolades today at San Diego Park with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Sportsman.

"His swing is getting there," said Spartans skipper , who spoke glowingly of Hall after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Bob did that to perfection today."

Bob Hall singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Kinnojo Azuma in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

To date, Hall has collected 146 hits for a .271 average. He has posted 14 home runs, scored 88 runs and driven in 69 runs.
