St. Louis-Las Vegas Brawl, Ligget and Halfyard Suspended Wednesday, May 26th , 2049 Joey Ligget of the St. Louis Sportsman and Chris Halfyard of the Las Vegas Dons will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 2 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Sportsman-Dons game at Sportsman Park. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Ligget and Halfyard will begin serving them soon. Ligget is hitting at a .209 mark this season. His stats show 3 home runs, 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has played 39 games for the Sportsman. To date this season, Halfyard has registered 4 starts, 2-0 won-lost mark, 5.13 ERA, 26.1 IP, 29 strikeouts and 17 walks. Opposing teams have hit .216 against him. |
