Smith's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Friday, June 25th , 2049 Pat Smith of the Wilmington Eagles tagged 1 hit in today's 10-4 loss to the Raleigh Explorers at Raleigh Field to run his hitting streak to 25 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 25-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Pat Smith singled in the 3rd. For the season Smith is currently batting .350 with 5 home runs and 29 RBIs. In 49 games he has reached base at a .412 rate and scored 30 runs to date. |
