McLean Goes 5-for-5 Against Idaho Falls Sunday, June 27th , 2049 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Alvin McLean is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Idaho Falls Rapids at Rapids Field today. The monster effort from the 31-year-old shortstop helped the St. Louis Sportsman take the win, 6-3. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Rapids manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Alvin McLean singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season McLean is hitting .256 with 4 home runs.
