Thursday, July 15th , 2049
The Toronto Blue Jays fell to the Annapolis Destroyers in Toronto Field today, even as 28-year-old catcher Bobby William upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 36 games. William finished with 2 hits in 5 at-bats, but could not stop the Blue Jays from dropping the 7-4 decision.

"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said William.
Bobby William flied out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Leon Misner in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and grounded out in the 10th.

William is batting at a .464 pace this season, picking up 96 hits in 207 at-bats with 16 home runs, 55 RBIs and 51 runs scored.
