Big Day for Ramsey: Swats 5 Hits Monday, September 6th , 2049 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Joe Ramsey is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-6 against the Pittsburgh Crawfords at Crawfords Field today. The monster effort from the 25-year-old right fielder helped the Wilmington Eagles take the win, 25-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Crawfords manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Joe Ramsey singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and walked in the 8th. Presently Ramsey is batting .263 with 12 home runs and 69 RBIs. He has played in 133 games and scored 84 times. View Boxscore |
