Trujillo's Hit Streak Soars to 20 Games Thursday, July 28th , 2050 The Rochester Spartans stopped the Cleveland Attack today 9-4 and Víctor Trujillo collected a base hit yet again. The Rochester left fielder finished with 3 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Trujillo told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Víctor Trujillo singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This year Trujillo is batting .390 with 146 hits, 23 home runs, 83 RBIs, 45 walks, .474 OBP and has scored 78 runs. |
