Hancock Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Friday, July 29th , 2050 Danny Hancock continued his streak at Spartans Stadium today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Olympia catcher was 2-for-3 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Battle Cats were not as fortunate, losing 9-5 to the Rochester Spartans. "Hancock was hitting everything we threw at him," said Rochester manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Danny Hancock doubled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Eric King in the 4th, walked in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. Thus far this season Hancock is hitting .399 with 18 home runs, 52 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has 77 hits in 193 at-bats and has played in 50 games. |
