Rapids Martin and Sluggers Owens Suspended for Fight Sunday, July 2nd , 2051 Dave Martin of Idaho Falls and Rob Owens of Louisville were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Martin will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Owens was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This year Martin has batted at a .304 pace with 28 hits, 4 home runs, 16 RBIs and scored 21 times. To date this season, Owens has a record of no wins and 4 losses and a 6.34 ERA. He has appeared in 16 games and struck out 43 in 66.2 innings. |
