East Announces #1 Player Monday, July 10th , 2051 27-year-old Alex Ramos made a few Fresno headlines during this past week as the rookie shortstop proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and East officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 24 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Ramos collected 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 7 runs. This year Ramos is batting .327 with 8 home runs and 39 RBIs. In 63 games he has scored 45 times. |
