5-Hit Barrage by Curves Tuesday, August 22nd , 2051 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Luis Curves, it came around today. The 28-year-old shortstop scattered hits all over Destroyers Park to pace the Eugene Ducks to a 10-8 victory over the Annapolis Destroyers. Annapolis skipper told reporters in the press room that "Curves deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Curves hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Luis Curves hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Raúl Pérez in the 7th, doubled in the 9th and singled in the 10th.
