Domínguez Hit String Snapped at 20 Thursday, August 24th , 2051 Juan Domínguez's 20-game hitting streak was snapped today at Raleigh Field. The 27-year-old Raleigh Explorers first baseman failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats in the game against the Colorado Springs Avalanche, but Raleigh came out the winner, 3-2. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Juan," Explorers manager said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." This season Domínguez is batting at a .344 clip with 16 home runs and 80 RBIs. |
