Terry Sizzles -- Smokes Crawfords for 5 Hits
Wednesday, August 30th , 2051
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Bob Terry of the Cleveland Attack had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate today in the 16-15 win over the Pittsburgh Crawfords at Cleveland Ballpark.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 24-year-old center fielder told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Bob Terry singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Héctor López in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Dwien Tumbaga in the 7th, walked in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
This season Terry has banged out 143 hits in 524 at-bats for a .273 average with 20 home runs. He is getting on base at a .373 pace and his totals also include 64 RBIs and 99 runs scored.
