Cooper on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, September 11th , 2051 Pitchers who faced the Annapolis Destroyers last week were happy to see Joe Cooper in the rear-view mirror. The 32-year-old first baseman was dubbed the East Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .600 clip. For the week he also chalked up 15 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored. This season Cooper has hit at a .295 clip with 89 RBIs, 22 home runs and 95 runs scored. He has played in 124 games. |
