Eagles Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, September 16th , 2051 Looking at the bigger picture, Gen Nan of the Wilmington Eagles said he's excited for what's to come in the years ahead for his squad. But in the present, he said, the club is quite disappointed with the realization today that they are now mathematically out of playoff contention for the 2051 season. The Eagles have missed the playoffs 27 times in their 38 years as a Explorer League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 6th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2044. In the last 10 seasons, the Eagles have missed the playoffs 6 times. Wilmington last won the Explorer Cup in 2024. |
