ULE's Best Player, Méndez of Greensboro Monday, August 4th , 2053 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the East, but last week Enrico Méndez of the Greensboro Green Sox reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Méndez rocked opposing pitching for a .643 average (9-for-14), 3 home runs and 11 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Méndez has banged out 57 hits in 212 at-bats for a .269 average with 3 home runs. He is getting on base at a .378 pace and his totals also include 32 RBIs and 47 runs scored. |
