ULE Star of the Week Chosen Monday, August 18th , 2053 At the age of 29, Noriaki Tanaka might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Philadelphia center fielder put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .583 batting average. For his efforts Tanaka collected the East Player of the Week Award. He racked up 14 hits in 24 at-bats, 1 home run and 12 RBIs last week in 6 games. Looking at his season stats, Tanaka has compiled a .337 batting average and a .405 on-base percentage, while hitting 8 home runs and driving in 36 runs. |
